My husband and I have owned a small business for 4 years. We will be closing (barring a miracle) within the month. I have accepted this and am almost relieved but my husband is feeling this failure acutely. This has been his his dream and feel like he has failed in it. He also feels that God has somehow let him down, let us down. This was a venture that was bathed in prayer from conception. We both believed that God was leading in this and opening doors and through it all we never really found success but the years of major struggle, sacrifice, rising debt and living in poverty. We have seen His hand on us through it all its just that we believed that when God lead us in the venture that He'd eventually bring us to find contentment and some amount of success even if it was to merely provide for our family. But it hasn't.
It breaks my heart that he is so despondent and down. This is so rare for him. I don't know what to say or do. He's trying so hard to justify why God has allowed us to get to this point. We've always trusted and relied upon HIM for so much over the past. We are now actively seeking other jobs. This is like just another nail in the coffin of his dream. Please pray for him that God would bring him peace despite this sitatuion. I pray that the Lord will reveal to him what he needs to do and how to get there. Most importantly, pray he finds hope once again. He's always been the most positive person that believes so strongly in God doing miracles. We need jobs, money to pay all this accured debt and mostly peace, hope and a future.

Blessed Lord, thank You that we can turn to You when life makes no sense. Please bring this dear man that peace that passes understanding, the peace that comes only from You despite our circumstances. Please reveal to Him, dear Lord, how to lean on You and not his own understanding so that he will know what he needs to do and how to get there. Help him trust You all the time no matter what. Please flood him with hope, Lord, because You are hope. Please be strength and peace to his precious wife. In Your mighty and loving Name, Jesus, Amen.
