This is a support thread for those parents that are looking for ways to sleep train their little ones. This is not a debate thread, it is for support and advice only.

Thank you Sarah.

Harvie, sleep training covers a wide variety of things from Cry It Out (CIO), controlled crying, patting or comforting your child to sleep. The main thing is it is a method to teach your baby/child to sleep on their own.

I will be back here when I have time because I would love to hear some suggestions.

Manda wanted to know my routine for putting Levi (almost 2) to bed at night.

After supper, Levi plays for an hour or so. I remind him a few minutes before bedtime "You have a few more minutes to play, then we'll go night-night." We put on lotion and pajamas, brush teeth, then I read him a book and we rock for just a minute while I sing Jesus Loves Me to him, and then I lay him down and he goes to sleep. (or talks for a couple minutes, then goes to sleep)

This has always worked fine, until the last 3 nights.

Thank you Sarah.

If anyone wants any advice on older ones and sleep training, you know where to find me. (I really don't believe in sleep training babies for many personal reasons). OK...it's all y'all, I am stepping out. So have fun!!! Remember to report if anything isn't "support"

What do you call "older ones", Sarah?
