James 5:11 “Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.” I believe there is a lot of encouragment in this verse for any who are facing various trials. What does this verse say to YOU?

The single most important verse in the Book of Job and the most encouraging is found in the last verse in the last chapter: 5 "I had heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now I have seen you with my eyes." Job truly knew God after all he had been through...who could ask for more?

What does this verse say to YOU? We overcome by hanging on to Jesus. And the promise is that we will not be disappointed. The Lord is most gracious and abounding in lovingkindness. Job hung on, persevering to the end. He didn't give up on God and he found that God had never given up on him either. What a wonderful thing to know. Man throws man away like a used papertowel. But our great God takes that papertowel in His hand, irons out the creases, dries us off, and prepares us for more and greater use. That's what He did with Job. That's what He's done for me. That's what He'll do for anyone who will cry out to Him.

I believe strongly in the mercy of God. Because of him, I was taken out of homelessness and reunited with my family. I prayed 3 specific prayers to him, and he answered all three to the letter. I also have received mercy from people, and I have been blessed by the nature God gave them.

One thing I'll never forget learning from Job: Job 42:2 NO plan of Yours can be thwarted. In other words, it may be seem delayed or prolonged BUT, come what may, it WILL happen.

Man throws man away like a used papertowel. Sadly, even our own brothers and sisters in Christ can treat one other in this manner. quote:
But our great God takes that papertowel in His hand, irons out the creases, dries us off, and prepares us for more and greater use. But ... if we rely upon God, He will take us and all our faults and shortcomings and use us to His glory. I care far more about God, and like Job I am able to persevere.

in Job,, His suffering was so great that he wished he had never been born. His wife told him to curse God and die and his friends turned against him and blamed him as if it was his fault so many calamities came apon him. Job was alone and beaten yet he cryed out to God and his faith never wavered. His faith stood even if God should take his very life God in return healed him and gave back to him all that he had lost and more. His faith was made stronger in the deal as well. So here is an example of " All things turn out for good to those who love the Lord" He saw the Lord work in his life and that God never left him no matter how the circumstances seemed. That is truly a blessing

The verse encourages me to hang in there and believe the Word of God; just as this one does; (Mar 13:13) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Thanks RC
