I have a bottle of white vinegar that I bought in an attempt to duplicate Chevy's salsa. It didn't go over well, so I'm not sure what to do with the rest of that bottle. I *hate* wasting food stuff. Some recipes would be helpful.
I don't have hardwood floors, and I prefer Windex on the windows.

1/2 cup in the rinse cycle is the best fabric softener there is.

Vinegar is a main ingredient in BBQ sauce, if you want to make some homemade sauce. Something sweet such as brown sugar or molasses, vinegar, and a third flavor such as mustard or ketchup. It's fun to experiment with those kind of recipes.

Make refrigerator pickles-there's a thread asking for recipes here
Run vinegar through your coffeepot or steam iron, or boil some in your teakettle to get rid of mineral deposits left from the water.

You can also do a really cool science project with vinegar and baking soda and make bag bombs. I used to do that with my kids. They are cool.

Vinegar is multi-purpose tool for both kitchen and cleaning as others have stated.
It goes well with pasta sauce and any other recipe that calls for lemon when you run out of lemon.

Or, you can pretend it is easter and color eggs with your kids. The recipe for making colors is on the box of food coloring if you use that ever.
