I know about twenty years of clutter Mo. Methinks you'll be looking for stuff you threw out after you're settled in the new place.

LOL, Ben! I think NOT! We are being very careful in our decisions on what we are throwing out and keeping. I make sure that Bo goes through the stuff also that so he can keep or toss the stuff also.

Yeah well, all I know is I was very careful in what I saved and tossed and here it is three years later and I'm still looking for stuff that doesn't exist! Think Lynn went behind me and tossed some of my saved stuff?

Gee Mo, that apartment sounds too good. I think I'll move in, too. How'd you like a boarder or 2?

(((Mo))) sorry to hear about your nervous stomach - glad that it is feeling better.

I agree the apartment sounds great but like you I would hesitate about not having a washer and dryer of my own.

Good to see you. Now you and Bo don't work so hard, ya hear.

Good to hear from you, Mo. I hope you find an apartment with washer/dryer hookups and if noise bothers Bo, stay clear of upstairs neighbors. I hope I NEVER have to live under anyone again.

HI MO!! Praying as you prepare to move. I can relate to the clutter thing too.

My mom lived in an apartment where there were machines in the hall, but the apartment also had like a closet in the bathroom that you could put a stackable washer and dryer. That worked out really well for my mom. Or doesn't the complex allow washer and dryers in the apartments. If they do, could that be a possibility in yours if you took it? You've probably asked all that though huh?

Good to see you

Leah, I can finally see your avatar. Lynnies too!!

Mo, I hope you guys can find a place with washer/dryer in the unit.

We may be downsizing to a studio and it doesn't have a washer/dryer.. I told myself I would never again live in an apt that didn't have it's own washer/dryer.. but.. arg. $400 rent decrease will make it easier to haul our laundry around!!

Ouch Brandy! . . . I hear ppl griping around here cuz houses rent for $500 plus -- a big house might rent for $750 and a really big house for $1000, though I haven't seen one of those

Yeowzers at the rent! That'd be about $450 here.

Kath, if Mo's profile is hidden, is her membership hidden also then?

Exactly, Ben . . that is about the going rate for a 2 bedroom apt here . . . thank goodness, we've never had to rent one, cuz our mortgage payment has never even been close to that!

Oh puhleeeze, let's talk rent for a second. My apartment is probably less than a thousand sq. ft. I don't know, I never measured the rooms. I'm paying $935/mo plus all utilities, including water. New people moving into the complex into identical apartments are paying $1300 plus utilities. And we're considered affordable!!! The new apartments being built on the beachfront here start at $1300 for a studio, $1500 for a 1br, and $1900 for a 2br. Wanna buy a beachffront condo? You can get 2br, 1-1/2 baths, app. 1200 sq. ft., for a mere $750,000. Plus maintenance fees of course. Oh, if you want an ocean view add another $250,000. Anybody wanna move to my neighborhood?
