Hi There Karlie!

I read an article earlier about H&M having low cost, high quality shoes coming out in later November. Do let me know if you would like me to post a link.

Used shoes??? You mean ones that had other people's feet in them?? Stranger's feet??

I'm with you!!! I'd rather go without new shoes rather than wearing shoes that have been used by someone else.

Absolutely! From someone I know very well, like my daughter or best friend, okay, but a stranger?? No way! That's almost like buying used underwear to me. Not in this lifetime!

Hey Mike...sure! I am always interested in shoe info

There's a place I know of down here in Houston if you're interested...

I'm assuming that would be the loony bin they released you from??

Interesting shoes on that article, Mike! I've never liked most ultra-high end designer shoes, which works out great since I couldn't afford them anyway! They are fun to look at though.

Hello, and Happy Belated Birthday to my birthday twin, Karlie!

Bill said I could find him here so I thought I would stop in and say hi to some of the gang from days of yore.

Hi, everybody!

(And happy belated birthday to Kath, too! I see you posted up there, too.)

Jeanie (Twin)

I'm going to check on dividing my hours up between 2 or 3 different agencies and see if that will fly.

I hope they let you do that. It sounds like a good way to get experience.

Look at all the nice people posting in here! Hi, Trish, Sharon, Mike! Karlie, how was the birthday for you? (Or have you said it here and I just need to read back on 10/26 to read the Day After report.)

Our little guy, Adam, is almost 20 months old now. (Thanks for all the nice compliments!) He's just about to go down for a nap now. Bill, you're right -- Lars the Hill Boy should be the next avatar photo. He is hilarious in that picture.

Speaking of used shoes, I have 3 sisters and while I didn't mind wearing anybody else's shoes, there is always their feel to the shoes -- they never sat right on my feet and always felt a little off.

My kid wears hand-me-down shoes from his twin cousins who are 4 months older. So far, at 20 months, no complaints!

None that you could understand at least.

Good point, Bill...but at his age he would just sit down and try to get them off so then I would know. (When he doesn't like something -- he is pretty skilled at letting us know.) (Rascal)

TwinCityGirl, thanks for your post on "pre-owned" shoes. I guess for some of us it's not a big deal, as long as we know whose tootsies owned them before we did. And family tootsies are all right.

It looks like I raised a hornet's nest with some of the Komrades with the subject. Thankfully my head hasn't ended up on a silver platter ... yet.

I am unemployed and by necessity I have been buying my clothes from Goodwill for the past year. I have found some good business shirts for interviews for just a few bucks each... and pre-owned wingtips as well. Yes, someone else's shoes. Be-VARE! BWAhahahahahahahaaaaaaaa! (So stone me.)

Ain't nothing on a used pair of shoes that a good shot of Lysol spray inside won't deal with.

LOL! No silver platters around here! Maybe some stoning here and there, but we'll use small stones

My kids did too from an older cousin. That never bothered me...probably because we knew the feet they came from!

No class tonight...yay! I like school, but if I can save the couple of hours driving, I'm a happy camper! I am working on my presentation though. I can't believe how fast this first class is going. I just have two more classes, the final on the 21st, then a new class begins the very next week.
