Hey everyone,
I'm really upset as I write this...it's been a couple of days I've felt like this. I'm just so anxious all the time. I even came home from work crying yesterday and I decided I'd walk in and let my mom see that I was upset. Basically she told me it had been a hard day for her too, hugged me, and told me to get in my pajamas and eat a snack. She then proceeded to go call my sister and talk to her for 45 minutes.
And that just made me miss my dad even more because I was closer to him than I was to my mom. And I'd really like to talk to my friend who lost his mom about 6 months ago, but he's having a really hard time keeping his head above water dealing with that plus grad school, so I don't want to stress him out. And when I do call he's usually busy. I'd like to talk to someone who used to be my friend, but there's just no point. That's a whole different story.
Basically I'm just stressed and I feel horrible and I just don't know what to do with myself.

Father, please hold this family close as they come to terms with this father's death. Deliver them from being overwhelmed in their grief. Comfort them with Thy holy spirit, assuring them that You are right there. Bring peace in the midst of this difficult time. Be their refuge and strength. Let them feel Your presence in a mighty way. Speak to their souls in Your small, still voice. Thank You, Lord for all You do. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen

Thank you that dubc419 is coming to you for help. We acknowledge you as our source of all that is good and ask that you shower dubc419 with your calm peace, with your comfort and with your love. Use her family to help each other, especially during this hard time. Draw them all into a very close fellowship with you. Thank you for all that you do. Just wanted to drop in and thank you all for your prayers! It definitely helps me knowing you guys are praying for me.
I went with one of the guys that my dad mentored to get a tattoo last night. I got a flowy heart with dad's initials over it on my foot, and Sam got dad's initials, birth date and death date, and the proverbs verse reference that says "as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." It was really cool to be able to share that with him and to now have a reminder not only of my dad and all he taught me, but a reminder of Christ and his love through any situation.

Father, I thank You for the life of this Godly man. Not only does his family miss him, but he made an impact in the lives of others. I believe when he left this world, he left many who will love him and miss him. Help our sister here, her family and all who knew him. I pray their grief is also filled with good thoughts and happy memories. I give You the glory, dear Lord. Help them through this time. I pray they continue to lean on You, seeking Your refuge.
