Good morning, Ginny, and thanks for starting us off with a great reminder this week!

We got the floor down Saturday. Now we're busy trying to clean up the mess . . . Bill is on vacation this week, so that's good. He'd been such a big help. I'm sorting thru my sewing stuff slowly, tho, cuz I want to weed out as I go. I should be able to finish up the last of it this morning, then start cleaning up the junk & mess I've left in the rest of the house. It sure has taken some time & energy.

Bill was diagnosed with diabetes Friday, so we also have that to contend with. We'll go grocery shopping after Garrett leaves & try to get some better foods in the house for him. He's been great so far, but I could tell last night that the diet is already weighing on him.

I've been up since 6:30 am playing on the computer. Last night I told one of the ladies at the life group I was coming to my daughter's house to play on the computer and she said I was addicted. Guess I am. I like reading stuff on the net.

Found several videos this morning on the power of words. Positive Words I liked this one. I posted another one on my facebook that I liked.

I really should be home cleaning the kitchen. Mom is coming for Thanksgiving so I do need to get caught up on my cleaning. It was either Trish or Edith that suggested I give assignments to people in my family so they can help clean. If I did that I would assign my 17 year old the washing of the bathroom walls with bleach. There is mold on the walls from all our hot showers. It accumulates every now and then and has to be washed off with bleach water. Icky job. I don't like it much myself.

Good Tues. Morning Everyone

Ginny, thank you for starting us out this week.
Did you get anything accomplished yesterday? It was a busy day for me yesterday. Got alot done around the house.

Leah, sorry to hear Bill was diagnosed with diabetes. That's a big change for meal preps huh? He does'ent need them shots everyday does he?

My quilting class was fun last night. Learned alot of things. We are almost done with the class and quilt. We are sewing around each square now. I found my sewing foot, and learned how to use it. WOW..it works wonderful! Never knew what it was before that..or why to use it.. awsome

Cody starts his new job tonight. He quit the restraunt dish washing job he has had for a year and a half and is now working for a factory after school. His fingers will be sore tonight. But he can get more hours in at the factory and make more cash. Now that football season is over for high school's he has more time to work.

All six grandkids came out to our place to go trick-or-treating. It was so fun to walk the neighborhood with them. Even hubby came along. We both took turns holding the two toddlers, Brett and Emma. It was funny cause hubby would say to me.."Wanna trade for a while" He had Brett and I had Emma...but Brett is sooo much heaver than Emma. So we were takeing turns holding him. Tommy was holding Isabelle because she said she was "slowing everyone down cause she did'ent walk as fast as everyone else". LOL Little stinker just wanted to be held
Brandi was pushing Ilyssa in her stroller. Little Emma would'ent let go of her candy bag for nothing, and she sure knew how to push her way thru the kids to get her candy! We got back to our house about an hour later. The kids ate some candy and the parents started takeing them home. Good thing..I did'ent want that sugar high to hit them while they were here!

I posted last night, but I got an error message and it didn't show up.

Hubby and my 15yo daughter brought home a kitten last night. They found it at a park that is outside of town a bit. I'm thinking it may have been abandoned there; there's only a few houses close enough that it could live out there, and it wasn't real close to them, considering the size of this kitten. I wish we knew for sure. It is very cute and sweet; I don't think we need a third cat though.

Not much going on today. R handed out invitations to her class yesterday, for her birthday party Friday evening. I wonder how many of the kids will come. R is pretty excited.

That's too bad the kitties left Barb. Maybe some new kitties will decide to adopt you!

I emailed my daughter and talked to her; her husband used to work where hubby found the kitten. He said there were some cats that lived in the park, a different part. So hubby drove out there and talked to someone who knew where the cat belonged. So kitty is back home now!

I had my Beth Moore Bible study on Esther tonight. It was good.

Good Wen. Morning Everyone

Dee, glad you found the kittens home.

I got a call from Tommy last night...he was fine.. Thank The Lord, but he hit a big deer on his way home from work. So I had to go out there by him.We called the police and hubby then sat there and waited. Took the officer an hour to get out there.Guess there was a big accident and they were all there. Tommy's car is pretty smashed up. No headlights, the hood is pushed up and it's all into his new radiator, plus the air bags deployed. Sort od pushed his dashboard in when they deployed even. So it had to be towed back to his house.
He did get to keep the big doe tho. Even got to gut it out there and tag it. Now it's hanging on the basketball hoop outside. Hubby towed his car to his house, which was only a few miles from the accident. Tommy does'ent have insurance on his car. Wonder how much that will cost the kid to fix it. He had to borrow a car from our other son last night, just to get to work today. His wife and the boys are up north by her mom. Guess they will come home today..did'ent want to drive back last night with all the deer in rut now.

I'm glad Tommy is OK, Barb. Yeah, I've been seeing a lot of deer laying dead on the side of the road, they are going a little crazy right now. I'm glad that he got to keep the deer. Expensive meat though, getting it that way.

R is home from school today. She came into my room about 4:30am and told me she threw up. She made it to the kitchen to get a bowl though. I thought it was closer to six so I asked hubby to help her since he has to get up anyway. Then I realized I hadn't even looked at the clock, and is was earlier. So I got up and helped get her settled back down. I think she is fine, but will keep her home to be sure.

Giggle....neither would I.

I heard tell that deer meat that is from a deer hit by a car is especially good meat. Seems the rush of blood that comes when a deer is hunted isn't there and the meat is tastier. Sure hope Tommy can get his car fixed. Our son when he hit a deer had to buy a whole nuther car.

Is R any better now Dee? I hate it when little ones have upset stomachs.

I got some things accomplished today even though I spent a good amount of time watching tv. Did two loads of dishes and a load of wash. Really must get more done but hey at least I was up all day and working...slow to be sure but working.

R is fine, thanks for asking Ginny; she's been OK all day. Pretty crabby though. She hates missing school. I was glad to keep her home to help her get over her cough too; she invited her class over for her birthday party on Friday, so we hope she is fine that day! R has this thing where some of her stomach contents come up into her mouth sometimes, usually she can just swallow it. I suspect it was the same thing this time, but it was too much to swallow. I need to track how often this happens and call the doctor if I think it is too frequent. I've talked to him about it, and they'll run tests if it is happening too often. The hard part is knowing when this thing happens. Anyway, I wasn't sure what was wrong with her so she stayed home. We did all go to church this evening.

Interesting about the deer meat Ginny. I'd never heard that. We got a deer my hubby hit once. Although it did have to be shot as it was injured and immobilized.

My mom had a hernia that caused her to have reflux.

Beth Moore studies are very detailed. I hope you are enjoying the one on Esther. I have several of her studies.

I woke up from sleep and felt the need to get up. I don't always sleep well at my daughter's house even though her bed is comfy it is not my bed. My grandson does better being at his own home and i get time on the computer so it is a good trade off.

Good Thur. Morning Everyone

Dee, I'm glad R is doing better. I was hopeing it was'ent the flu.
Sounds like a fun party planned tomorrow.

Ginny, I know what you mean..just can't sleep well if you are not in your own bed. I went over to my son's house to babysit once. Did'ent like it tho. I like being in my own house. And I did'ent spend the night even. But the kids were more comfy in their own beds.

I brought a huge plant inside last week-end. I wanted to see if I could keep it over the winter. All week now I have been finding big black ants crawling around the house. One here one there. Was trying to figure out where they were comeing from..then I seen two around the plant base. So I carried the plant outside again. Must be in the soil or something. So some time today I will have to take the plant out of the base, and check the soil. I thought they were comeing in with the firewood. But I guess the plant was to blame. I never had ants inside the house before.

Well Tommy came over last night, and him and hubby took that deer off the basketball hoop. Took it to the meat market. I have to call another auto place today.See if they can go to Tommys house and look at his car. Get one more estimate for it before he decides what to do. The first place said about $1,650.00. I think that was a fair price including the parts and labor. But it does'ent hurt to get another one I guess. My older son, Howie, borrowed Tom his truck. Now Tom wants to buy a truck! Altho he knows he can't afford it..and it would be cheaper fixing his car.

Cody seems to be enjoying his new job. He said it's hard to get all the pieces out that they want in a night, but he's new at it. I'm sure he will speed up when he gets used to it. I told him that's what factory work is all about..speed and getting the product out the door. He also informed me last night, that he will be leaving an hour before school starts to work out in the morning. they have a nice work-out room at the high school. Gotta keep fit for football next year.

Got to talk to Katie yesterday. She phonned me twice. She is starting another job as an intern. Hope she will enjoy it. I don't think she will have any time to call her own, but she's young and can handle it I guess.

And last, but not least..Brandi also called yesterday. (Isent that neat I got to hear from all five of my kids yesterday?) I guess I have to babysit Isabelle today while Brandi takes Ilyssa to her breast feeding class. Ilyssa still wants to be held all day long. I sure hope that changes before Brandi goes back to work, and I have to babysit.

Ginny, the Esther study is very good. I need to get back to doing my homework; it is very interesting. I didn't know that a hernia could cause reflux. I think that R has had some sort of a silent reflux problem since she was a baby; I'm thinking it is time for her to outgrow it! It has never been bad enough to cause any real problems and be treated though. I've asked the doctor about it and wish I knew for sure how often she had a problem with this.

Barb, I hope Tommy can work out his vehicle situation without too much difficulty. I'm glad he could borrow the truck. Cody sounds busy with everything! Enjoy Isabelle today!

I'm trying to get the house cleaned for the party tomorrow. I'm excited, the high here is near 75 tomorrow, so the kids should be able to play outside for a bit tomorrow evening. We have a small house, so I wasn't sure what we'd do with a bunch of kids here inside for 1.5 hours. She invited her whole class, plus 2 other little friends for a total off 19 kids, plus R. I don't think that all the kids will come, but who knows!
